UpShift shortlisted at the UK Search Awards 2025 Two standout automotive SEO campaigns

We’re delighted to be shortlisted at the UK Search Awards 2025 for two campaigns that show what happens when automotive expertise meets commercial SEO done properly.

1. BYD UK: Best Use of Search Automotive and Best SEO Campaign

We helped BYD go from newcomer to visible challenger by fixing foundations and building content that serves first time EV buyers.

  • UK organic visits rose from 42,488 to 116,259 year on year, surpassing 100,000 visits a month from March and peaking at 170,519 in April.
  • After gaining CMS access, average ranking improved from 54 in February to 2 by July, with +70 more priority keywords in positions 1–3.

  • UK organic test drive leads increased from 437 to 2,535 per month.

  • Fixing hreflang and hard geo targeting cut misdirected UK entries from 38% to 8%, then a UK EV content programme and finance pages became top destinations.

2. Leasing.com: Best Use of Search Automotive and Best SEO Campaign

We rebuilt architecture, launched audience led content and Digital PR, and introduced tools that add value beyond the SERP.

  • Organic sessions reached 129,923 in August 2025 from 81,818 a year earlier.
  • Organic leads grew from 1,355 to 2,955 per month, lifting organic share from 12.72% to 18.78%.

  • Trophy rankings moved to the top, including #1 for “car leasing”.

  • New tools shipped: Quote Beater, Lifetime Running Costs, Compare in Search, Supersize My Account.
